The German national team also won the tournament, cruising to a 25:20 victory over Denmark in the final.

The Final Team of the Tournament is a selection of the top seven players in each position, chosen on the basis of their impact on the game. Following the tournament, the committee has selected the following elite players to form the illustrious Final Team:
• Goalkeepers: Andreas Falch (Denmark), Ulrich Weinhold (Germany)
• Left wing: Mikkel Hansen (Denmark), Tim Rönnberg (Slovakia)
• Central back: Christian Dissinger (Germany), Magnus Joensen (Norway)
