Course description

The book covers a wide range of mathematical ideas that students encounter in higher-secondary classes. It begins with trigonometric ideas such as angle measurement, identities, and functions, then moves into concepts used in many real-life and engineering problems like height & distance and inverse trigonometric functions. After building the base, the book shifts to algebraic tools such as matrices, determinants, and triangle properties.

Later, it smoothly transitions into calculus—starting with understanding how functions behave (continuity), how they change (derivatives), and how those changes are applied in practical situations. The book then introduces integrals in both indefinite and definite forms and shows how integration helps in calculating areas and solving real-world problems. This is followed by differential equations, vectors, and linear programming, all of which are essential mathematical tools used in science, engineering, economics, and data analysis.

Each chapter includes formulas, examples, solved problems, diagrams, and shortcuts, helping students to grasp concepts step-by-step. The overall flow feels like travelling from basic ideas to complex problem-solving in a smooth and understandable manner.
