Course description

This book helps kids get comfortable with reading. It begins with activities around common experiences like going to the park, going to bed, picking apples, and celebrating birthdays. Each of these parts teaches things like looking at pictures, sequencing events, matching letters, recognizing sounds, and finding rhyming words.

The second half is focused on Max the dog. Max has all sorts of little stories—he runs, jumps, gets dizzy, meets new friends, and even goes to a costume party! These stories help kids build confidence by reading familiar words and answering fun questions.

At the end, there’s an answer key for adults to help guide kids or check their progress. The book uses a very child-friendly approach, with repetition, pictures, and playful learning.
