This book explores the fundamental aspects of information and communication technology. It begins by introducing readers to what computers are, how they work, and their role in society. The second section dives into hardware, explaining the components that make up a computer and how each functions within the system unit. Following this, the software section covers operating systems, application programs, utilities, and programming languages, helping readers understand the invisible forces driving computer operations. Finally, the networking chapter illustrates how computers connect and communicate globally, introducing network types, components, internet tools, and security concepts. The book blends theoretical insights with practical applications, and includes detailed illustrations and real-world examples, making it an ideal educational tool.

I found this book really helpful and easy to understand. It explains technical topics in a clear way, even for someone without a tech background. The diagrams and real-world examples made it easier to imagine how computers actually work. I especially liked how the book talks about both hardware and software—now I know the difference between a CPU and RAM, and also what operating systems like Windows or Linux actually do. The networking chapter was a bit challenging, but it’s great that it explained how the internet works, because that’s something we all use every day. Overall, this book made learning about computers interesting and not intimidating. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s just starting to learn about ICT.
